MISSION TRIP INFORMATION

Participation in this mission trip is open to college students--in undergrad and professional schools--and recent graduates.  Please note, however, that priority is given to university students—before recent grads—and registration is first-come, first-serve.

In Bolivia, our OCCM Mission group will participate with the local Coptic Orthodox Church, Catedral Santa Mar a y San Marcos Copta Ortodoxa, in almost everything! We pray our beautiful Divine Liturgy in Coptic and Spanish. Part of the mission will include planning spiritual and fun days for children and youth. We will prepare some songs and activities ahead of time. By God’s grace, our mission this year may include:

  • House visitations

  • Performing skits and sharing the Bible an orphanage

  • Visiting schools for young children

  • Visiting a home for the disabled

  • Putting together donation bags

  • Participating in the church’s kids activity days

  • Opportunities to go sightseeing!

Trip Date

  • May 16-26, 2022

 

Cost & Expenses

  • Trip Cost: $1,350.00

  • Included in the trip cost: Roundtrip airfare from Miami International Airport (MIA), accommodations, donations, meals, and transportation

  • Not included: $160 fee for Bolivia Tourist Visa. Approximately $100-$200 spending money for snacks and miscellaneous meals.

 

Registration:

  • The number of attendees is limited to 23 people.

  • Registration is a first-come, first-serve basis upon completing the registration form, submitting the required deposit and the signed liability policy.

  • Participants will be asked to sign up to bring donation items. 

 

Payment

The fee installments are due as follows:

  • $800.00 must be paid by March 20, 2022.

  • $550.00 must be paid by April 15, 2022.

 

We strongly prefer that you Zelle the payments.

Required Documents

All must be submitted via email to OCCM Mission (vicepresident@susoccm.org) upon registration by March 20, 2022.

  1. A scan of your passport. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the trip return date with blank pages.

  2. A signed copy of the OCCM Mission Liability Policy.

  3. An email recommendation from the Father Confessor of the participant that s/he is in good standing and is prepared spiritually and maturely to participate in the mission. The email should be sent to Fr. Jerome.
